Big Time Rush Star Kendall Schmidt Is Married to Mica von Turkovich—And They’re Expecting Their First Child!

Kendall Schmidt rose to fame in 2009 as a member of the boy band Big Time Rush and a star in the musical ensemble’s television show on Nickelodeon, Big Time Rush. Now, more than a decade later, Schmidt is married and gearing up to be a father. In the first post, Schmidt revealed that he officially tied the knot with Mica von Turkovich. “Thankful for my baby ♥️,” he wrote as his caption. He also uploaded a black and white photo of the bride and groom sitting on a floral-printed sofa flanked with two floral arrangements on their wedding day. In the portrait, it appears that Schmidt is wearing a dark suit, while von Turkovich is sporting a wedding dress with cap sleeves. The couch is stationed in front of a barn, which reveals string lights covering the ceiling and white folding chairs on the inside.

A few weeks earlier, on November 2, 2023, Schmidt hinted at his updated relationship status in a birthday post. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes everyone :),” he shared. “For anyone wondering I’m 33, even though I obviously still look 23. Life is good! I’m so grateful for all of you and especially my beautiful wife @mica_chu.”

Right after Schmidt posted the wedding photo, he revealed that he and von Turkovich are expecting their first child together. He kept his caption similar but replaced “my” with “our.” “Thankful for our baby 🤍,” the caption said. The post also featured a short clip of his wife beaming in a wild meadow, surrounded by floating flower petals, with her pregnant belly exposed.

People reported that the duo first met in 2012 at Radio City Music Hall and began dating in March 2015. In June 2022, the “Boyfriend” singer proposed at the place where they first met, while their loved ones were present. Von Turkovich announced the news on Instagram. “A few more sweet moments from this sweet day… Kendall promised me a long time ago that he wouldn’t propose to me on stage,” she noted. “He broke his promise just a little bit but I like this promise more.
